Feathered Warfare: Roosters Secure Tackle King, Titans Snatch Raiders Player, Broncos Sign Riki and Three Others

The Sydney Roosters have extended Nat Butcher’s contract for three more years. NRL’s top tackler in 2023 will remain with the club until 2027, making him close to his 30th birthday. Titans have added Harley Smith-Shields to their outside back options from Canberra Raiders. Tigers winger Charlie Staines has inked a two-year deal to stay until the end of 2025. Matt Moylan has been released from Cronulla Sharks and signed with Super League club Leigh Leopards. Michael Jennings has been provisionally registered with the Roosters to make a comeback in 2024. Jordan Riki has been re-signed by Brisbane Broncos for another three years. Siua Wong has been re-signed with the Roosters until the end of the 2026 season. Sharks forward Toby Rudolf has penned a new two-year contract that ties him to the club through 2026. The NRL has granted Michael Jennings permission for a train-and-trial deal with the Roosters. Wests Tigers needed to release players in order to keep winger Charlie Staines. Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles player Josh Aloiai has signed a new deal until 2025.
