Simon Raiwalui Joins World Rugby, Scott Robertson Takes Time to Consider All Blacks Captaincy

Rugby Australia is looking for a new coach, and Simon Raiwalui will not be a part of the search. Raiwalui, who helped Fiji secure their place in the World Cup knockout stages, will be joining World Rugby as a general manager for their high-performance unit. His contract with Fiji Rugby ended on November 23, and he expressed his fondness for the country. He was shortlisted for World Rugby coach of the year and is looking forward to contributing to the global development of rugby.

On the other hand, Scott Robertson, a successful Super Rugby coach, is not rushing into naming a new captain for New Zealand Rugby’s All Blacks team. Robertson, known for his bold decisions, is taking his time to gather information before making the decision. Several key players are leaving the team, prompting a rebuilding period for the All Blacks in 2024. Robertson will continue to work on getting players to return to New Zealand while also judging the form of those playing overseas based on merit.
