The 5th round of the competition saw two tricky wickets and a few epic collapses, highlighting the struggle of modern batters to grind out long innings. In the Western Australia vs South Australia match, Western Australia chased 201 on a tricky surface and won by two wickets. Nathan McAndrew continues to push his case for a Test recall. Jake Lehmann, on the other hand, has not yet matched his father’s output. In the Victoria vs Queensland match, Scott Boland re-established his place as the fourth seamer picked with eight wickets in the match. In the Tasmania vs New South Wales game, Tasmania dominated with three tons from the lower middle order. Beau Webster continues to impress with the ball, bat, and in the field.
