Arthur Morris is a left-handed opening batsman and former captain of the Australian team. He scored 3533 runs at an average of 46.48 with 12 centuries in 46 Tests from 1946-1955. He was named in the all-time Australian XI by Cricinfo in 2010.
Bruce Mitchell, a reliable opening batsman, played 42 Tests from 1929-1949, scoring 3471 runs at an average of 48.88 with eight centuries. He was known for his long innings and was rated by Cricinfo for his performance at Lord’s in 1935.
Rahul Dravid, a highly outstanding batsman from India, played 164 Tests from 1996-2012, scoring 13,288 runs at an average of 52.31 with 36 centuries. He was known for his great powers of concentration and was named in the all-time India XI in 2010 by Cricinfo.
Clyde Walcott, a powerful-striking wicketkeeper-batsman from the West Indies, played 44 Tests from 1948-1960, scoring 3798 runs at an average of 56.68 with 15 centuries. He was known for his exceptional home record and his performances against England and Australia.
Kim Hughes, an extravagant stroke-maker from Australia, played 70 Tests from 1977-1984, scoring 4415 runs at an average of 37.41 with nine centuries. He was known for his aggressive batting style and some of his memorable innings include the Centenary Test at Lord’s in 1980 and matches against India and England.
Monty Noble, a fine captain, batsman, and all-rounder from Australia, played 42 Tests from 1898-1909, scoring 1997 runs at an average of 30.25 with one century. He also took 121 wickets at an average of 25.00. He was known for his all-round abilities and was considered one of Australia’s greatest all-rounders prior to Keith Miller.
John Waite, a wicketkeeper-batsman from South Africa, played 50 Tests from 1951-1965, scoring 2405 runs at an average of 30.44 with four centuries. He was known for being a fine wicketkeeper and useful batsman and was named in the all-time South Africa XI in 2010 by Cricinfo.
Kapil Dev, a swing bowler and hard-hitting batsman from India, played 131 Tests from 1978-1994. He scored 5,248 runs at an average of 31.05 with eight centuries and took 434 wickets at an average of 29.64. He was known for his exceptional performance in 1983 and leading India to a World Cup victory.
Andy Roberts, a paceman from the West Indies, played 47 Tests from 1974-1983, taking 202 wickets at an average of 25.61. He played a key role in the West Indies dominance during the late 1970s and early 1980s and was known for his lethal bouncer.
Arthur Mailey, a leg-spinner from Australia, played 21 Tests from 1920-1926, taking 99 wickets at an average of 33.91. He was known for his prodigious spin and made his debut in his 30s due to WWI.
Hugh Tayfield, an economical off-spinner from South Africa, played 37 Tests from 1949-1960, taking 170 wickets at an average of 25.91. He was known for being difficult to score off and has an impressive economy rate.
