The Race for the Alternative Championship: Who Will Challenge Max Verstappen?

As the 2023 F1 Season nears its conclusion, a different kind of championship is heating up. While Max Verstappen has already secured the traditional World Championship, an alternative championship is emerging as well.

This alternative championship ignores all results from Red Bull and focuses on the performance of other drivers and teams. As we head into the Las Vegas race, the top contenders for this alternative championship are Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso, and Carlos Sainz Jr.

Hamilton, with 314 points, leads the standings, followed closely by Alonso with 298 points and Sainz with 271 points. Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc have been eliminated from contention, leaving only three realistic contenders for the title.

In the alternative Constructors Championship, Mercedes leads with 536 points, followed by Ferrari with 510 points. Aston Martin, McLaren, and Alpine have been eliminated, making it a two-way battle between Mercedes and Ferrari.

McLaren has been the form team in the second half of the season, winning three out of the last four races. Despite their strong performance, they are out of contention due to a slow start to the season.

As we approach the final two rounds of the championship, the question remains: who will win the 2023 F1 alternative title? With Hamilton, Alonso, and Sainz battling for the top spot, the outcome is anyone’s guess.
