Hobart Hurricanes’ Matthew Wade blasted 82 runs in the Big Bash League match against the Melbourne Renegades. The Hurricanes overcame fielding restriction drama to secure a breakthrough win after 5-183 in Melbourne’s innings with an over to spare and six wickets in hand. Wade and Mac Wright shared a 140-run partnership, with Wright scoring a 63-ball 63. Despite facing a DRS review blunder from Wade, they both played crucial roles in securing the win. The Renegades captain, Aaron Finch, contributed 31 while Quinton de Kock and Joe Clarke put up quick starts. Afterwards, allrounder, Will Sutherland and his performance helped the side before they were dismissed for 172. The Thunder had a narrow win against the Stars with Daniel Sams leading the team to victory. Sams took 4 wickets in his 4 overs and also provided a quick fire cameo to erase all doubts for the team. The Thunder managed to clinch a victory despite a consistent performance from Beau Webster of the Stars.
