In this series of articles, the best-performing teams in Australia’s 50-over domestic competition are being selected. This installment takes a look at Western Australia. Shaun Marsh (2002-2022) has had an impressive career, with three titles, 3672 runs at an average of 44.78, 10 centuries, and 11 man of the match awards. He is the highest scorer in one-day runs and has earned more player of the match awards and hit more centuries for WA than any other player. Geoff Marsh (1982-1994) is another standout player, with two titles, 1596 runs at an average of 53.2, three centuries, and five man of the match awards. He has the fifth-highest average in competition history. Damien Martyn (1991-2005) has one title, 2207 runs at an average of 47.17, four centuries, and five man of the match awards.
