Nothing could be better for Western United with the grand masterplan secured for funding for a new stadium. It is a different story for Melbourne City, who appear to be failing to take the right steps into the right direction. City has maintained their strategy, but does not seem to be swimming anywhere. Winning matches has not been a game changer for City and they need to find a solution soon. A move to Casey-Dandenong where they are already based might be a much-needed step. The potential for a proposed 15,000-capacity stadium in Dandenong could be the solution City needs, which could be funded with help from the City Football Group. If they remain in the current location, they would have to find another way to stay relevant in the crowded football and sports market.
